This is mom when she turned 1...we kind of look alike? Dad made mom a wonderful birthday supper the night before her birthday since she had to work yesterday.
Filet and grilled zucchini...
stuffed mushrooms...
and a glass of vino.
For dessert he made lemon bars that were a definite 5 star.
Last night after mom got home from work dad and i had bought her some flowers, a balloon, and a cake. When she walked in the door we had the birthday song playing on the computer and we sang to her with the candles lit on the cake. Dad and I looked for birthday hats everywhere at Hy-Vee, but they didn't have any. That would have topped everything off.
